The Neuroanatomy Laboratory “G. Cantore” of I.R.C.C.S. NEUROMED was founded in december 2021 as an open space dedicated to training and research on anatomical specimens in Neurosurgery. Among the first three years, several courses have been organized focused on skull base approaches, basic techniques and microvascular sutures.
The ASINO Foundation was born in 2018, with the aim of:
- Create and support an educational program to train young neurosurgeons;
- Financing research projects in the field of Neuroscience and in particular of Neuro Oncology.
Through its own Scientific Committee, made up of prestigious experts in neuroscience, the ASINO Foundation and Neuromed Lab Team examine and chooses the best projects to finance (two grants of 5.000 €).
Activities and Objectives
Fellowship program includes Lab activity focused on skull base and vascular neuroanatomy study and common and complex approaches comprehension.
Fellows will have at their disposal assigned specimens and all the instruments present in the Lab. During the fellowship, anatomical and surgical lessons are provided by the Lab Coordinators.
During Fellowship period, Fellows’ activities will be verified monthly. The length of daily and weekly activity is personal and has no precise limit of hours.
